Hello Resident, Here is an update on what we have been up to as well as the upcoming events we have planned in your local area! ✅ Good News from Your Local Policing Team ✅ Summary: During recent weeks, as well as a rise in car-key burglaries and other car crime, we have seen an increase in thefts from a person. There have been a few incidents where elderly people in particular have been targeted when they are on their own, resulting in money and belongings being taken and the offenders making off. However, your local team have been working hard on finding the offenders for this incident, and I can share that for 2 instances of this happening we have been able to locate the people involved and arrest them. Why It Matters: We take incidents like this very seriously, and we are aiming to create a space where people do not feel scared for going out on their own. We work with other teams within the force to locate vehicles that are used, as well as utilizing CCTV footage and witness accounts. In the meantime, if you or anyone you know is particularly vulnerable to this particular incident, we recommend going with them when possible – as the previous offences have been targeting lone people.
